The annual West Virginia Council of Churches Public Policy Forum will be held on October 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church United Methodist (1221 Quarrier Street, Charleston, WV 25301).
Organizations are invited to present policy issues for consideration by the Council for the 2019 Public Policy Issue Priorities booklet.
Organizations have five minutes to present their issue, but can also pass out materials. Organizations are encouraged to have their issue summarized in two or three sentences with a paragraph explanation.

Please note that if your issue is already present in the 2018 Public Policy Forum, you do not need to present your policy recommendation as it will be forwarded from last year. You can look for your policy statement in the 2018 Public Policy booklet here.
The West Virginia Council of Churches Annual Assembly will be held October 15 – 16 at St. John XXIII Pastoral Center in Charleston. Our theme this year is Right Relationships in a Polarized World. The Rev. Cherisna Jean-Marie, Dean of Chapel of Bethany College and Pastor of Bethany Memorial Church will speak on The Gospel as Social Justice. Rabbi Victor Urecki, spiritual leader of B’nai Jacob Synagogue in Charleston, will speak on the theme of justice and righteousness in the works of Rabbi Abraham Heschel, whose seminal work, The Prophets, was an inspiration to many in the Civil Rights Movement.
